Note | The exact date is uncertain, since neither Konon nor Polla occur on any other coins. L. Bricault has pointed out the the same Isis type occurs on coins of Gallienus in the name of the prytanis Hermeias (https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/type/59765; cf. https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/type/59777 and https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/type/59778). The style of the coin is compatible with such a date, and very small coins seem to have been made at Cyme in this period. |
