BMC described Caracalla as also wearing a lion's skin, but this is not correct. The obv. legend is described by BMC as reading [ΗΡΑΚΛΗϹ] ΡΩΜΑΙΟϹ. See also D. Calomino, AS 70 (2020), p. 163. The details of the 'normal' reading are not, however, clear.
