Note A very puzzling type. It appears to be a coin for Caracalla as Caesar, but no such coins are known for Antioch. The style is very crude, even by the standards of the 'negligé' style of the earliest Severan issues, of c. 202. The reverse legend does not make sense unless we suppose a missing C, as in CAE. The right-facing head of the eagle is otherwise unknown in the Severan period, though it appears later.
