Note | The interpretation offered in RPC is that the coin, a smaller denomination for an empress, is signed by a woman (cf. 3149–52 below); her name is Kastoris and she is given the title soteira, just as Epigonos, presumably her husband, is given the title philopatris. On this view, both were in some way benefactors of the city. |
