Note 1 example (B) found at Magnesia in Ionia. The monogram presumably stands for a personal name. Countermark: laurel branch (GIC 349, 'owl (?) facing, wings open': B 1653/1917 = Schultz 25). The other coin cited by Howgego under this entry, a coin in B found at Priene, seems unconnected.
