Note The countermark may perhaps be expanded to μητρόπολις Βιθυνίας, in which case it would be a countermark of Nicomedia. It is also found on coins of Nicaea under Plancius Varus (627/5, 629/4) and the Bithynian Koinon under Maecius Rufus (604/4 and 6).
