Imhoof-Blumer later suggested (KM 105) that the word on the rev. might be ΜΑΓΑ, the genitive of ΜΑΓΑΣ, but ΜΑΙΑ seems definite on the V specimen. Imhoof-Blumer originally thought that ΜΑΙΑ was the goddess with whom Livia was identified. Grant, FITA 373 and pl. XI.57 (=2808/1), regarded the obv. as a portrait of Aristogenes.
