Note | Same types as 2389, but without legends. Time of Nero?According to A. Ellis-Evans, a late Hellenistic issue of Hierakome, not provincial coinage of Hierocaesareia. The four bar sigma in ΠΕΡΣΙΚΗ is the only example of a non-lunate sigma on the city's RPC coinage. The IER monogram appears on no other RPC coinage from the city but does appear on late Hellenistic issues. |
