Note Formerly RPC III, 1593. Von Fritze’s attribution of the B coin to Nerva relied on a general similarity of the obverse of this coin with the obverse of his 216 (see RPC III, 1589). But the clearer portrait and simple legend on the new specimen suggest an earlier date, in the Julio-Claudian period, possibly Augustus?
