Note | In fact, 1759A and 1759 might refer to the same coin. The coin published by MacDowall (NC 1960, 107/2), whose weight is 16.56, must have been a dupondius, but is described as ‘laureate head’. Unfortunately, the coin kept in Sofia is not illustrated. |
