Note It is not clear why vA Phryg. II separated his nos. 108–17 from 118–20. The monograms have been variously read: in KM, p. 219, no. 6, followed by Münsterberg, Beamtennamen, the false reading 'ΕΧΑΤΟΥ = ΕΚΑΤΟΥ' was given; vA Phryg. II gives 'ΧΑΡΤΟΥ (?) ΑΡΧ (?)' (p. 17), but the two monograms are the same and so should presumably be expanded in the same way; in view of the name Charixenos, Char seems most likely, presumably the names of his father and grandfather.
