Note Original note (RPC I): Obv. inscription illegible. On grounds of portraiture, the emperor might be Nero, though the weak engraving style of the rev. does not seem characteristic of the period. A. Kropp, RBN 2021, 164 note 1, suggested an attribution to Caracalla or Elagabalus.
