Note The L coin was for long the only coin known for Annia Faustina from year 4: see J. Rea, ZPE 96 (1993), p. 130. Close examination suggests no grounds for suspicion, either on grounds of style or fabric. Its authenticity is now confirmed by the A coin, with the same obv. die, but a different rev. die.
