Note Continues to use the Cos II obverse die of years 19 and 20, presumably after Marcus’ death was known in Egypt (as Marcus had died on 17 March AD 180). The die-link shows the praenomen as still Lucius. So the type may belong before it was known in Egypt that Commodus had taken the praenomen Marcus (which he took in October AD 180). Otherwise it may be a case of the inappropriate re-use of an old die.
