Note From the same pair of dies as https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/type/coin/116484, which lacks the inscription in the exergue. This suggests that the inscription has been tooled on, presumably as a reference to the Heracleopolite nome (ΗΡΑΚΛƐΟΠ), for which Heracles is depicted with a griffin (WG p. 184 Hadrian no. 3). No other nome coins are known after Pius year 8.
