Note D says that there is another soldier behind the Emperor, and this is now confirmed by the new /3. Vogt, p. 77 compared the design with that of Profectio Aug on Roman coins, but they are all later. He took it as an indication of a possible (not actual) imperial visit to Alexandria in 108/9, but there is no other evidence for this. P. Matthijs has pointed out that the coin is a copy of Nero's Decursio type.
