Note The arch appears on tetradrachms of year 6 and bronzes of years 13, 14, and 15 (as well as on coins of Trajan and Hadrian). The arch has three arcades; above, there is a statue of the emperor in a four- (2524: tetradrachms) or six- (2697, 2708, 2728-30:bronzes) horse chariot, flanked by trophies and captives. See the discussion by F. S. Kleiner, 'An Arch of Domitian in Rome on the Coinage of Alexandria', NC 1989,pp. 69-81. Kleiner argues that the arch was at Rome, not Alexandria. He illustratesthe year 6 tetradrachm in NY.
