Note | This coin was published by Cohen and Mowat, RN (1911), pp. 431-2, no. 20. Mowat was inclined to attribute it to Cappadocia. Grant, RAI, p. 68, proposed a mint in Gallia Comata, as he considered this series parallel to the Tiberian series 5441, struck in AD 36/7. It is natural to tie together these two series as they exhibit the same features, but the question of the mint remains open. |
