Note
G. Gromotka comments: "SNG Lev. Monogr. 2 (Elaiussa). RegardingLevante the marks match to SNG Levante 824, and the new coin seems to be thesmallest denomination (chalkus/kodrantes) in the line of Lev. 824 and anot known variety of Lev. 832ff. The name of the town is also written with twoΣ. The style of the die cutter seems to be very near to SNG Levante 706 fromSeleukeia. Could there be a connection? Regarding that, RPC I 3716 C may be thechalkus to Levante 825/ 833. Therefore all these coins should be preroman."
