Note ‘Canopus stand. above two eagles, facing out, hds. turned; LI Γ’ with this obv.’: Curtis’ annotated copy of Milne. Despite the different obv. description, could Curtis’ coin = D823? It looks as if there might be something above the Canopus? On coins of year 12 (4325.1-4326) we find a Canopus in a temple accompanied by an eagle. As pointed out by Patrick Matthijs, the object with eagles is very like the ‘object’ above the chariot of Helios on coins of years 16 and 17
