Note ΕΠΙ ΚΟΡ ΛΥΠΩ; The Cop specimen was attributed to the Koinon with the obv. legend: ΣΕΒΑΣΤΩ Κ Κ (standing for ΚΟΙΝΟΝ ΚΡΗΤΩΝ). This attribution is unlikely as the production of the Koinon was never signed under the Julio-Claudians; moreover, the dies were cut by the same engraver as the Ρ coin and the letters ΓΟ could easily be read instead of ΚΚ.
