Note The type of Harpocrates seated on a sphinx first occurs in year 13 of Trajan (RPC III, https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/type/13203) and is found in a Temple in the following year (RPC III, https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/type/13433). It reappears under Hadrian but with Harpocrates holding a club rather than a cornucopia (RPC III, https://rpc.ashmus.ox.ac.uk/type/15431). See LIMC IV.1, p. 438 Harpockrates L16, nos. 346-8.
