The legends were read as ϹƐΒΑϹΤΟϹ ϹƐΒΑϹΤΟΥ ƐΤΟΥϹ Ρ and ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΕΩΝ by Sestini, followed by Mionnet and Seyrig. Sestini adds the warning '(Lit. Vit.)', presumably as a qualification of the end of the obv. legend. The head is normally identified as that of Tiberius, but resembles that of Caligula at Laodicea (4444).
