The name of the city was traditional read Siocharax, but L. Rutten has proved that all the first letter, on all coins, is actually an epsilon (instead of a lunate sigma) and, therefore, the city’s name was Eiocharax (see Leu WA 24, 3 Dec. 2022, lot 1996 = https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=10325128) or, more likely, Iocharax (ει standing for a long ι).
