Gökyildirim (Annotazioni Numismatiche 11, 1993, pp. 223-6) from excavations at Maltepe near Istanbul. He interprets the coin as a piece of Perinthus (reading the monogram as a monogram of Perinthus) and interprets the reverse as Agrippina I (presumably wrongly as she was never augusta). The attribution to Perinthus is possible, as Perinthian coins are very similar to those from Bithynia, but by no means certain: the absence of an ethnic and the use of a monogram are more characteristic of Bithynia. 5 Gotha cast in Winterthur, incerta 1 no no no [show] [edit]

ΔΕΔΟΥΛΟΜΕΝΗ ΣΕΒΑ ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑΝΩ, ΓΕΡΜΑΝΙΑ (in field) captive standing, l., with hands bound behind back Drager p. 133 interpretedthe design as a reference to the German victory of 83. The P coin wasdescribed and discussed by E. Babelon, RN1917-IS, pp. 25-44. He correctlydeduced that the rev. legend was a translation of Germania capta, referred thedesign to the campaign of 85 (he was not aware of 686) and commented onthe incorrect form of the participle (p. 26, note 1), for which the curiousspelling ΠΡΟΤΗ on coins of Nicomedia provides a sort of parallel. Babelon alsocompared the design with that found on a Julio-Claudian relief in Trieste, originally found at Koula, near Philadelphia in Lydia. Most interestingly, healso attributed the coin to Prusias ad Hypium; it was found with a group ofBithynian coins, including others of Prusias, with which it had an 'aspectidentique par la fabrique, les caracteres epigraphiques, l'epaisseur du flan, lapatine verdiitre et rugueuse'.
