It seems somewhat like III, 1668, which is equally odd. Future discoveries may clarify. The coin looks like it was made in the second century, and the features are not unlike those of Trajan. Thebe was the daughter of the Adramys, the eponym of Adramyttium. Strabo 13, 65: 'At the distance of 50 stadia [from Adramyteum] in the interior is Thebe, uninhabited'. More research required! 1 T.
