Use the purse to gather and hold on to selected coins for the duration of your session.
This is useful for first searching the database to locate a number of coins that interest you, then being able to look at them all in one place.
The ‘Purse’ panel
When you are in the ‘Coin Database’ section of the website, a ‘Purse’ panel is displayed. It summarises the number of coins in the purse, and has a link to quickly view the contents.
When you are viewing the record page for a coin type, the Purse panel will contain a link to add that coin to the purse, like this: Add #1234. If the coin is already in the purse, there will be a link to remove it instead, like this: Remove #1234.
Search results
When viewing a page of search results, or the purse contents, icons are shown to add and remove coins from the purse.
