Roman Provincial Coinage Online

Submit a new coin type

Please send us details of any Antonine coin type you believe not to be included in this database.

The Antonine period is the time between AD 138–92, comprising the following members of the imperial family: Antoninus Pius, Faustina I, Marcus Aurelius, Faustina II, Lucius Verus, Lucilla, Commodus and Crispina. Your contribution will allow us to make both the website and the conventional publication more complete.

Please do not send us additional specimens of coin types already in the database.

Please be aware that in the case of a few cities (Carallia, Colybrassus, Lyrbe, Magydus, Perga, Philippopolis, Selge, Side and Sillyum) new standard treatments are expected soon, and we are awaiting those studies before incorporating the material into the database on a systematic basis.
